Kitchen design is one of the favorites, it's like a giant puzzle and you can change around the pieces until you find the perfect layout. For the Normandy Park Kitchen Reno my clients had found a house they really liked but there was one thing that was holding them back, the kitchen. We started the design process before they had even finalized the purchase of the home and with my reassurance that the kitchen "could" be amazing they took the plunge and put in an excepted offer.
The original kitchen had dated oak cabinets that had seen better days, generic white appliances and not nearly enough work and storage area.
KITCHEN & LIVING FLOOR PLAN
The plan was to brighten the kitchen and create more space with a custom island that replaced the small eat-in table area. White cabinets with a soft warm glaze were enhanced with white subway tile with charcoal grout, and a tile accent above the new induction top stove creating a new focal point to the kitchen.
In addition to the new cabinets we also updated lighting above the sink, island and under upper cabinets as well as added new floors throughout to modernize the space.
At the same time that the kitchen was being updated we also updated the trim work for all doors and windows and did a complete overhaul on the existing fireplace in the adjoined family room.
